Douglas Russell
Douglas Russell, CEO of Aqua Logic, has been in the Aquatic industry for more than 28 years. He earned degrees in aquaculture and fisheries biology, and first got his hands wet working on fish farms in Arkansas, and for Florida DNR, before ending up at Aquatic Eco System as a Sales Technician. Doug joined Aqua Logic in 1994, and with hard work, knowledge, and dedication, he transformed a small company into one that is known throughout the industries we serve today. Aside from running a business and taking the time to have his eyes and hands on everything that comes in and out of our facility, Doug is passionate about making sure his customers are taken care of. His rapport with our longstanding customers speaks volumes about his character, and if you haven't met Doug yet, you can find him at the next aquatic conference and say hello....he'll be in his director’s chair at the Aqua Logic booth chilling drinks in a bucket using what else, but an Aqua Logic Cyclone water chiller! Away from Aqua Logic, Doug most enjoys spending time with his girls, Maralin and Joy, whom he cooks breakfast for every morning. He enjoys hunting and being outdoors, even if that means just enjoying his own slice of paradise, his backyard.
Maralin Russell
Our Vice President Maralin Russell came to us with a very impressive background, having worked with several Fortune 500 Companies domestically and overseas. She is the “Go to person”, and the driving force behind business transformation initiatives that have streamlined our internal processes and increased manufacturing efficiency. We can thank Maralin for transforming our shop into the state of the art manufacturing facility that it is today. She is much appreciated by the team for all her personal efforts that make Aqua Logic a comfortable place to work. Maralin holds a BS Degree in both Finance and Computer Information Science. In her spare time Maralin loves spending time with Doug and their daughter Joy, particularly when they vacation in her native Borneo, and she enjoys gardening and jamming on her piano and guitar on the weekends.

Mike Hosford
Mike works in sales and engineering, bringing 20 years of aquaculture industry experience to Aqua Logic and its customers. Like so many other aquaculture professionals, he got his start with Bob Heideman at Aquatic Ecosystems in Apopka FL. Prior to that, while studying aquaculture engineering at the University of Hawaii, he developed an award-winning solar-aquaculture program at Hilo High School. He went on to earn an MS from Cal Poly, Pomona, focusing on solar heated aquaculture building design and heat transfer modeling. For 12 years Mike ran Aquaculture Solutions, a one-man, client-driven design/build company based in southern Oregon. In all his work he has delved deeply into the engineering aspects of system design, including original research on a novel oxygen transfer device – the California Tube (aka Farrell Tube) – and the development of temperature blending racks, solid waste settlers, degassing columns, and many other products. Mike has logged thousands of hours successfully designing and installing all kinds of aquaculture systems and is ready to bring that experience to your projects. What Mike loves most about his job is working closely with customers in transforming their ideas into optimal systems. In his off hours he enjoys spending time with family and taking in all that the San Diego area has to offer. Mike’s hobbies include ocean sports, roller blading, guitar, and camping.
