1/4- ½ Hp
- No plumbing required; drop titanium coil directly in tank or sump
- Maintains water temperatures in the range of 50° – 80°F (*see specifications)
- Oversized helical titanium coil in the heat exchanger maximizes BTU transfer efficiency.
- TITANIUM is the only heat exchanger material proven to be 100% fish and coral safe in saltwater systems.
- Quiet, internal, spring mounted hermetic motor/compressor provides years of reliable service.
- Low profile and compact design allows for easy placement in tight places.
Applications:
- Living Exhibits
- Research
- Lobster and Seafood Holding tanks
- Hydroponics
- Home Aquariums
- Cold plunge tubs
- Animal hydrotherapy
System Requirements:
- Cyclone drop in chillers require that the coil always be completely immersed in water with adequate water flow.
- Observe min/max flow rates critical to chiller operation in ‘Specifications’ table
- Chiller unit must not be placed in a confined space, as restricted air flow will limit the efficiency and lifespan. Do not restrict airflow by placing unit in a cabinet or closet.
- A Cold Water Cap Tube (CWCT) is required for desired water temps between 50-65F on available models. Standard units operate in the range of 65-85 F. Call to order.

Use the tables below to determine the appropriate Cyclone Chiller model for your application.
Please note that the tables make the following assumptions;
- Calculations based on a closed recirculating system with chiller running full time.
- Calculations based on a simple system with one pump, 3x per hour water turnover rate, and fluorescent lighting.
- Do not take into account, multiple pumps, protein skimmers, high intensity lighting, or other such variables.

*Add “CWCT” (cold water cap tube) to model # for desired water temps between 50-65F on available models.
Standard
- Ideal for tropical aquariums and warm water exhibits, or research applications.
- Capillary tube size allows a fixed amount of refrigerant to enter the titanium coil of the heat exchanger.
- Amount of refrigerant does not need to change since the water temperature is being maintained at a constant.
‘CWCT’ (Cold Water Cap Tube)
- Allows for a lower, but more limited temperature range.
- Ideal for bait fish holding, temperate fish exhibits, and hydroponics.
- Capillary tube size allows a fixed amount of refrigerant to enter the titanium coil of the heat exchanger.
- Amount of refrigerant does not need to change since the water temperature is being maintained at a constant.
